Q & A:
- What did you do before IW?
- I made cards and scrapbooking samples for another shopping channel and also appeared as a craft guest. I also ran, and continue to run, card-making workshops.
- Most embarrassing on-screen moment?
- I have already managed to wear a dress, with a tight belt, which the poor young man backstage had to fish up in order to change my microphone. How to make friends and influence people, eh?
- Tell us a secret
- Not before a bottle or two of vino!
- What’s your idea of the perfect Sunday (when you’re not working)?
- A beautiful sunny day, a lovely walk with the doggies, good food, then a great night out - comedy club or somewhere for a good laugh.
- Which living person do you most admire and why?
- I meet people I admire all the time, but there are so many I haven't met who I hold in high esteem; there are so many people who do amazing things and pass us by without us even knowing what a difference they make.
- What is the trait you most deplore in yourself / others?
- I am horrendous at keeping in touch with people, returning calls and remembering birthdays. In others I dislike people who take advantage of others or abuse their power, along with inflated egos, deceit.
- Aside from property, what’s the most expensive thing you've bought?
- My little car.
- What is your guiltiest pleasure?
- Allowing my dogs to snuggle up on the settee with me.
- What keeps you awake at night?
- Anything and everything. I’m a big worrier
- How would you like to be remembered?
- Ha ha, maybe as a bank robber (it's OK, this isn't my guilty confession, just a plan me and my mate have for when we're about 86 - we're going to rob a bank - we think it would be hilarious!) Can you imagine, what would they do?
- What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
- To try and find something to laugh about in every situation, and to keep those you love, close.
- Favourite IW/CC product?
- Alcohol inks, embossing powders, stamps... do I need to go on? Oh, and I want a Nintendo Wii as well.
- Which phrase do you overuse?
- At the moment my 'in' words vary between "malarky, beautiful, brilliant".
- If you could travel back in time, which period would you visit?
- I'd want to be greedy and start with the dinosaurs and go from there - each period is so fascinating. If I was forced to choose I'd want to be hippy in the '60s.
