Skimmia Japonica Marlot forms an extraordinary compact evergreen shrub dome that is ideal for containers or borders. It produces clusters of tiny, highly fragrant white flowers which are followed by vibrant, glossy red berries in autumn, which are set against dark green leathery leaves.

Its a fairly small evergreen shrub which only grows to around 50cm x 50cm, which makes it ideal for smaller gardens or outdoor spaces that could benefit from a striking, hardy shrub.  In the early autumn, dense heads of creamy-white buds appear which turn to a deep red within a few weeks, these go on to open as fragrant white flowers in the spring.

This pretty shrub is fairly new to horticulture, only becoming available in limited numbers in 2007 where it proved to be very popular. It is easy to grow and looks great in containers for autumn and winter displays.

Plant Information –

Care - Water regularly. We also recommend adding fertiliser such as Tref if transferring your plant to another container or part of your garden. After flowering cut out all dead and unwanted growth.
