If you are into metal crafting, you may want to enhance the appearance of your finished projects. Whilst, our Practical Workshop/Practical Lite sets available through ISD allow you to make scrolls (the basic feature of ornamental wrought iron work), from time to time you may want or need to make twists as well. If you need to make a simple half twist to facilitate a metalwork joint you can simply grip a steel bar in a vice and grip the other end and use an adjustable wrench to grip the other and twist. This can take a bit of effort but can be achieved with care. However, if you want to make a decorative twist in a long bar using this same approach, getting a straight and even twist is nigh impossible. This is where the Practical Twisting Tool comes in. You get even and straight twists every time and it is so easy to operate also. Its capabilities are enhanced further with the special adaptor supplied with the tool that allows you to make quick twists in steel strip as well as twists between scolls.
