With more than two decades in the beauty, cosmetics and fashion industries, Canadian-born and raised in the euro-chic city of Montreal, Philippe has earned the reputation as one of the world’s top celebrity cosmetic designers. From the catwalks of London, Milan and Paris, to the sidewalks of New York, L.A. and Miami, Philippe truly blends runway trends with real beauty!

Having started his career in beauty at Canada’s first independent makeup company, Electa & Corrado, Philippe honed his artistic and makeup application skills and techniques and within a few years quickly became one of Canada’s top freelance make-up artists. His work ranged from fashion editorials and advertising to music videos and television commercials, he was doing it all! Then in the late '80s the fashion scene in Canada moved to Toronto, and Philippe moved along with it. It was a move that would change his life! It was there that he met the two "Franks" – Frank Angelo and Frank Toskan, the founders of the then newly established cool and trendy make-up company known as MAC!

In the early '90s Philippe moved to LA where he held the position of Retail Operations Manager for MAC, and later with his French background, expanded his title to International Retail Operations Manager in Paris, where his responsibilities included the opening of all MAC stores in Europe. Upon his return to the US, he became the Director of Merchandising for MAC for one year, was promoted to Head Make-Up Artist, and in the year 2000 became Director of the MAC Pro Team.

As the Director of MAC Pro Marketing and Development, Philippe gained over 15 years experience in product development, merchandising and marketing. He also has had the pleasure of working on some of the most famous models and celebrities in the world. In addition, Philippe has worked backstage with numerous renowned fashion designers.

 Philippe’s most recent work can be seen in the MAC videos for Cirque du Soleil and Airbrushing, as well as a photo shoot for White and Warren.

His extensive background in fashion and beauty has given him a unique perspective and accessibility to the textures, fabrics, styles and vast array of shades that quickly become the hottest looks of the season! Inspired by top artists like Kevin Aucoin and Way Bandy, Philippe’s number one goal in his current position, Director of Cosmetic Design for Ready to Wear Cosmetics, is to interpret the intense, vibrant colours from the runways and translate them into wearable, real beauty for the everyday woman!
