Andy Love
"Ideal World is the place I've always wanted to work."
Andy is best known to Ideal World viewers for his wide knowledge of technology and collectables, and for his DIY skills.
Born near the east coast of Scotland, Andy has lived all over the UK and, for the past few years, in London. After studying drama at Loughborough University and London's Drama Studio in the 1990s, Andy took on various theatrical, television and commercial jobs, including a part in Gladiator; extensive work as a stand-up comic; and even selling DVDs to Ronan Keating!
Andy came to Ideal World after experience with other shopping TV channels and presenting his own weekly radio show on MEAN 1035 AM, Andy Loves Football.
Andy is also an award-winning scriptwriter and editor. His works, Panic (1999) and Rooftop (1996) have been shown all over the world, winning 9 international film festival awards including Best British Film. Andy is currently working on other comedy writing projects.
(Andy's career includes a six-month musical tour of Italy; work as a stand-up comic at venues around the UK, including 'The Comedy Store', 'The Glee Club', 'Cosmic Comedy Club' and 'Up The Creek' as well as various national student unions and cable channels. His scriptwriting works have been screened at BAFTA and the Odeon, Leicester Square.)
