Dennice Robinson


"I can't believe my luck at having the chance to be part of such a great team!"

Dennice is best known to Ideal World viewers for presenting fashion, beauty products, collectables and craft shows.

Dennice was born in Texas, but has lived most of her life in and around Cambridge.

With an advertising and marketing background, Dennice worked in commercial radio for nine years before joining Ideal World in August 2000, soon after its launch.

Daughters, Carla (born 1977) and Laura (1980), are Dennice's pride and joy.

Passionate about shopping TV, Dennice can't believe her luck at having such an exciting career, with the chance to be part of such a great team.

What did you do before IW?
I spent 10 years in radio commercials.
Most embarrassing on-screen moment?
Too many to count - usually my brain and mouth not being together.
Tell us a secret
Wouldn’t be a secret, then!
What’s your idea of the perfect Sunday?
Family together in the garden for a lazy barbecue.  
Which living person do you most admire and why?
My daughter: Laura works so hard to overcome her challenges and always has a smile for everyone.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself and others?
The trait I most deplore in myself is gossip; in others, it’s bad temper.
Aside from property, what’s the most expensive thing you've bought?
My car.
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
Chocolate.
What keeps you awake at night?
I worry about my daughters.
How would you like to be remembered?
As a kind person, a loving mother and fun to know.
What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
To enjoy every minute to the full.
Favourite IW/CC product?
Fly-Flots and Ideal Sleep System.
Which phrase do you overuse?
The word ‘now’ – I try to stop myself but it just pops out.
If you could travel back in time, which period would you visit?
Roman Britain – I love history.
