Whenever I couldn't find a job in entertainment, I always found work in sales - Ideal World is a natural combination of the two!
Paul is known to shopping telly viewers for his love of gadgets and all things electronic, while his friends know of his love for DIY, gardening and making people smile!.
He made his first stage appearance at the age of 10, then repeatedly performed in London and various productions around Europe.
In 1986, Paul headed to the Caribbean to join his first cruise line, which led to 18 years of global adventures. He travelled the world as Cruise Director (head of entertainment) aboard cruise ships, including the world"s most famous ocean liners - the QE2 and Queen Mary 2!
Having found himself at the top of his field, and wishing to spend more time with his family on land, Paul retired from the world of cruising in 2005. His career change led him to a new arena of challenges in television.
Since then, Paul has been presenting 17 hours of live TV each week, accumulating more than 5,000 hours before joining the team of presenters at Ideal World.
Paul was born in Kent, but moved to Rutland to be closer to work. He lives with his wife, Helen, who is an art teacher and has three children, Solomon, Selene and Talia Mai.
