This attractive, exotic plant is hardy down to -10C and highly tolerant of drought. With its origins in Chile, Fascicularia bicolour is a rare and unusual plant that forms an impressive and tough mound of long, thin, grey-green foliage. In summer, its inner leaves turn bright red and a ball of electric blue and yellow flowers are formed at the centre of mature plants. This striking combination of colours will be an astonishing contrast to your autumn garden. It can grow up to about 50cm which will make an ideal plant for pots, just leave it in a sunny place with lots of light so it can thrive.
