Having received a set of watercolour paints from his girlfriend as a twenty-first birthday present, Jack Vettriano has gone on to become one of Britain’s most successful artists, resulting in him being awarded an OBE in 2004.
Best known for the oil-on-canvas painting ‘The Singing Butler’, Vettriano has sold out exhibitions in Edinburgh, London, Hong Kong, and New York, and in 2013, twenty years of his work were celebrated in a major retrospective exhibition at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in Glasgow.
Showing English racing driver Sir Malcolm Campbell’s Bluebird car at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, where he became the first person to drive an automobile over 300mph, this genuine print has been reproduced on 275gsm white silk paper and would look great on the wall of any racing enthusiast.
