A bit of a Lancashire hot pot
if you like!
Sally Jacks (aka Jaxx) is a bright, bubbly and super chatty Northern lass. Nicknames include ‘Baubles’ (she wears a lot of jewellery); ‘Blonde Bimbo’ (boyfriend’s words not Sally’s!) and ‘Pee Pee’ (‘I’ll tell you why later!’)
After years of am-dram, ballet classes and high kicks Sally got serious (not really!) and landed herself a place in the new line up of BucksFizz – alongside Mike Nolan and David Van Day.
Sally soon ‘made her mind up’ to go solo and started to write and perform on tracks for ClubLand Albums, Ministry Of Sound, front girl for Uniting Nations (Daz Sampson) and even performed to 350,000 people in Beijing (how posh is that!?)
Sally has her own clothing collection ‘Sally Jacks’, the first collection sold out on TV in just under two weeks. Designs for ‘Lotty Dotty’ in Paris, writes for a magazine and has her own fashion blog.
Sally believes that all women should feel good whatever their budget.
She has worked in live TV 5 days a week, dealt with Fashion, Health and Beauty, interior design, she is just herself - what you see is what you get!
Her gift of the gab took her not just to TV but radio as well. Sally loves interviewing, sharing a cuppa and a gossip with celebs and real folk with brilliant, and sometimes sad stories to tell.
Sally has covered all shows and had her own Weekend Breakfast show on 2br. You will also have found her talking fashion, she was the Number 1 cover for ‘Retail Therapy’, Consumer affair programmes, 'ManHunt' and reported out and about on anything and everything for BBC Radio Manchester.
Sally currently freelances on breakfast shows for; Heart FM, Gaydio, 2br and The Bee. She is also a regular guest on Breakfast for the BBC.
In June 2014 Sally presented on the main stage at London’s Pride in Trafalgar Square.
Winner of ‘Come Dine With Me’ in 2013, was such an experience for her, as before the show, she had to use a ‘Sat-Nav’ to find the kitchen!!!
Sally’s an adrenaline junkie. She’s jumped out of a plane at 14,000 feet and also swam with sharks – all for charity of course!
