Q & A:
- What did you do before IW?
- Many, many jobs – mostly in performing – including working on Top of the Pops, Capital radio in London and in pantomime at the theatre royal in Brighton for three years.
- Most embarrassing on-screen moment?
- Definitely when my tooth fell out live on air – let me explain… A couple of my teeth at the front are capped. I was working on a Sunday on Ideal and had been eating a crusty baguette and one of the caps suddenly didn’t feel quite right. I then went on to present Consumer Choice and as I started speaking my front tooth cap literally broke in two and flew off leaving a massive gap at the front! All I could think of doing was covering my mouth and pretending to cough. The viewers then saw a full page graphic while I left the studio and Den then had to take over presenting the show.
