The kids are off school, the sun is out and the paddling pool is refreshing. Life is great in the summer for family, friends and loved ones, and what better way to fill the bellies than with a BBQ.
As soon as you get that scent of charcoal burning, sausages sizzling and juicy burgers, everybody knows you’re in for a treat, whatever time of day it is in the heat.
There’s not long left before the clocks go back and the sunny weather starts to wind down, with the children going back to school and Christmas here before you know it! Time flies when you’re having fun, so being outside in the warm sunshine and getting a tan with the barbie fired up is a must.

If you feel like the Atkins diet is the one for you, go all carnivore with a selection of the best meats, with pork chops, lamb or mincemeat burgers. Or, if you feel like watching the figure and keeping the summer body in shape, some delicious cous cous, humous, salad with a nice vinaigrette and feta cheese might be more up your street alongside some lean sausages.
We have been blessed this year with some fantastic weather, so make the most of the remaining summer by firing up the BBQ, inviting some friends over and entertaining. What’s not to love; yummy food with great company is the perfect experience outdoors.
