These watches are also water resistant to 50 metres, which makes them suitable for everyday use and swimming.

The story of Roamer, began with the ideal of its pioneering founder, Fritz Meyer, who wanted to create a robust yet elegant watch, a precious accessory which everyone would love to own. With this goal, he set up the business in Solothurn, Switzerland, in 1888, starting in a workshop with six employees producing cylinder escapements for the watch industry.

Within seven years, the company had grown to 60 employees and was producing complete watches. By 1940, Roamer employed more than 1,200 people and had started to produce its own dials. In 2013, Roamer celebrated its 125th anniversary. The strong tradition of high-end production and constant innovation has made Roamer a Swiss watch brand with a renowned international standing.
