How do I use the Ideal World website?
Placing an order
Shopping online with Ideal World is straightforward and convenient.
The homepage is the starting point of your online shopping experience with Ideal World. From this page, you can browse through our entire range by selecting the product category you're interested in. The homepage also contains links to our pick of the day products, best sellers and special offers, as well as customer services/information pages. You can also see which shows are coming up by clicking on the TV Schedule or watch our television shows, by clicking on Watch Us Live. At any point, you can return to the homepage by clicking the Ideal World logo.
How do I search for products?
There are several ways of finding products on Ideal World. You can browse products from the last 7 days of shows, click on a category, search for specific products or visit our homepage.
Each time you select a category from the homepage, you will be shown a list of relevant subcategories and criteria that you can select for further browsing.
You can also search for products by name, brand or product number. Just enter the type of product (e.g. pressure washer, multicooker) or the brand name (e.g. Vax, Hoover, Cookshop) into the Product Search box and we’ll return all of the products which match your chosen word. Entering a valid 6 digit product number into this search field will take you straight to that product page.
Paying using credit/debit cards
To place an order, you can either click the 'Buy Now' button – which takes you straight to checkout or click the 'Add to Basket' button, which will store the item in your basket.
- Returning Customers
If you are not logged in, the next page you see will give you the option of adding your details as a returning customer – by inputting your email address and password, then clicking 'Login & Checkout' (skip to At Checkout below).
- New Customers
If you are a new customer, you will be asked to give your email address and click 'Continue to Checkout' (skip to At Checkout below).
Add to Basket
Once you have clicked 'Add to Basket' a page will pop up giving you the option to View Basket, Checkout or Continue Shopping. If you View Basket, you then have the option to remove items from your basket. Continue Shopping or Checkout.
- Returning Customers
If you are not logged in, the next page you see will give you the option of adding your details as a returning customer – by inputting your email address and password, then clicking 'Login & Checkout'.
- New Customers
If you are a new customer, you will be asked to give your email address and click 'Continue to Checkout' (see At Checkout below).
You will then be asked to fill in Your Details for Delivery, Billing and Payment. At this point you can add any Promotional Codes and can also choose to add a Pre-paid Returns label to your parcel so you can easily return any unsuitable item through Collect+.
At this point you have the opportunity to 'Create an Account', which will make your journey faster when you shop again.
Once you have filled in your details, click Place Order to complete your purchase. You will then receive a confirmation message, followed by a confirmation email.
Paying using PayPal
You can pay for your purchases online using most major credit or debit cards, including Mastercard, Visa Credit Card, Visa Debit Card, Visa Electron, Solo, Maestro and American Express. We do not accept Corporate Link cards at present.
Your credit card details will be encrypted to help keep them secure. Please note that in the interest of security, idealworld.tv will never ask for your full username, password or credit card details via emails, pop-ups, or for any purpose other than registering or placing an order on idealworld.tv. Paying using Flexi-pay
PayPal* is a safer, faster, more secure way to pay online. PayPal hides your financial details so you don't have to share them online. PayPal also protects your purchases - so you can shop with confidence.You can make PayPal payments using your credit card, debit card, or bank account. You only need to register the details for your choice of payment once and PayPal will remember and safeguard them for you. You can then use the same method each time you shop. All you need is your email address for quick, easy payment.
PayPal cannot be used in conjunction with Flexi-pay
or for continuous payments or renewals.
What should i do if my credit/debit card was refused when placing an order?
On certain products we offer Flexi-pay, which allows you to spread the cost of the product (excluding Postage & Packaging) across 2, 3 or 4 monthly instalments, interest free. See our Flexi-pay page for more information.
Cancelling an order
If your credit or debit card was refused while placing an order on idealworld.tv, please re-submit your order using a different card. For details on why your card was refused, please contact your card issuer directly.
Using a discount voucher
To cancel an order please Contact Us before we have dispatched the goods to you. Where goods have already been dispatched to you, you have a statutory right to cancel the contract within seven working days of receipt and return the products in accordance with our policy. Discount vouchers can be redeemed against purchases made online and over the phone (subject to Terms & Conditions). Although you will not see the discount in your basket, the details will appear on the confirmation screen when you check out.
