(May 2007) “Unlucky for some”, but not for crafters who wish to tackle cards and other crafts with men in mind! Wendy Stenton shows an ingenious hexagonal layered card. In addition to Ask Amanda, Ms Bateman contributes a suave masculine birthday card; while Wendie Rhodes is on form with a fab football shirts project.

We welcome three male crafters to demonstrate projects, including Encaustic Art guru Michael Bossom who returns to produce fantastic turrets and wild skies from hot coloured wax. This issue’s spotlight falls on our new man behind the camera, video director Hugh Davies; and we look at “less soft” crafts like sign painting and wood turning. It’s not “all men”, though: Laila Ansbergs crafts among fairies, while Michele Clifton’s butterfly is Pretty in Pink.
