Search for a TV Star – Terms & Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter is Ideal World, trading in the United Kingdom (“Ideal World”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
2. Eligibility
- Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over
- Entrants must have the legal right to work in the UK
- Employees of Ideal World, its group companies, agents, contractors, or their immediate families may enter but are not eligible to win
- No prior TV presenting experience is required
3. How to Enter
- Submit a 60-second audition video selling an item from your home
- Send entries to applynow@idealworld.tv by the advertised closing date
- Late, incomplete, corrupted, or inappropriate entries may be rejected
- One entry per person
4. Content Requirements
- Videos must feature only the entrant or individuals who have given express permission
- No copyrighted music, images, or third-party content may be used
- Content must be suitable for family viewing and broadcast standards
- Offensive, defamatory, unsafe, or unlawful content will result in disqualification
5. Rights & Permissions
By submitting an audition video, entrants:
- Grant Ideal World a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, broadcast, and share the video (in whole or in part)
- Permit use of their name, image, likeness, and voice for promotional, marketing, and editorial purposes
- Acknowledge their video may be used across all TV, digital, and social media platforms operated by Ideal World
- Waive any moral rights in relation to the submitted content where permitted by law No compensation will be payable for such use.
6. Selection Process
- Entries will be reviewed by a panel appointed by Ideal World
- Shortlisted candidates may be invited to auditions, interviews, or screen tests
- All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into
- Ideal World reserves the right not to select any candidate
7. Outcome / Opportunity
- Successful candidates may be offered a freelance TV presenting contract
- Any contract will be subject to separate terms to be agreed
- No minimum shift or hour commitment
- Participation does not guarantee on-air appearances or future work
8. Costs
- No purchase necessary to enter
- Entrants are responsible for costs incurred in creating or submitting their video
- Travel or accommodation expenses will not be covered unless agreed in advance
9. Data Protection
- Personal data will be used to administer the competition and assess entries
- Data will be processed in accordance with Ideal World’s Privacy Policy
- Entrants may be contacted about future casting opportunities unless they opt out
10. Liability
- Ideal World is not responsible for lost, delayed, or corrupted entries
- Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud
11. General
- Ideal World reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition at any time
- Entrants may be disqualified for breaching these Terms or bringing the brand into disrepute
- Governed by the laws of England and Wales

By submitting an entry, entrants confirm they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
